~ A Very Special Message~
I began to design our little country web home in August, 1998. By January of 1999, it was finally ready to be officially established. I had a great deal of fun and enjoyment in deciding what to include in our home and the graphics that I would use to help make our house a home. I had such a wonderful time discovering and shopping for graphics. There was such an abundance of artists who so kindly allowed you to use their precious designs, as long as you respected their rules.
Over time many of the exceptional artists, whose works brightens our pages, have disappeared from the web. The reason being people who did not respect their rules or them. They either misused,resized,recoloured,claimed the work as their own, omitted a link back to the artist who created the graphic, etc.
Please, please, please, I cannot stress enough, how very important it is that you respect the artists and their rules. Considering what they give, they ask for very little in return. To those of you who say " It doesn't matter if I resize,recolour, etc this graphic. They will never know." It does matter!!! The following are all original artists who use to allow you to use their work on personal home pages. They have all pulled their graphics from the web and are now offering them for sale.
*****Many web space providers ,are now claiming the right to use their members content any way they please and for any purpose, regardless of copyright laws. Some claim that they only use member content to promote their members pages, while others use the content for many different reasons. The original artist receives no credit or royalty for this. Xoom, Tripod, Homestead, and Yahoo/GeoCities are all web space providers who condone this action. Please, when signing up for web space, be sure to read each of the rules in their User Policy closely and carefully. Not only for the original artists sake, but for your own.***
