| Ingredients |
| 1 cup brown sugar |
| 1/2 cup white sugar |
| 1 cup shortening |
| 2 eggs |
| 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla |
| 2 1/4 cups flour |
| 1 tsp. baking soda |
| 1 tsp. salt |
| 1/2 cup Smarties (use red and green smarties for Christmas, if you like) |
| Cream together first 5 ingredients, add next 3 ingredients, mix well and then add Smarties. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 F for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 4 1/2 dozen. |
